Kaya Welsh is ecstatic to be playing the role of Janet Weiss for her 27th show. Kaya has an intense passion for the art of performing. She trained her voice for 5 years with coach Lee Bailey, and continues her to grow and train her voice with the wonderful and immensely talented Dr. Maryanne Kyle. She studied Music Theory with Colm Keegan, a member of the world renowned celtic music supergroup Celtic Thunder. She currently entertains at some fairs as Melody the singing fairy with the decadent duo The Pirate King and Queen- Royal Rogues and Renegades and for Knights of Valour at Jubilee Renaissance Faire. Previous roles include Bitsy Mae Harling in "Sordid Lives", Crissy in "Hair", Meatloaf in "We Will Rock You", and Sherrizade in "Twisted", as well as many more loved shows. She is overjoyed to share the stage again with so many friendly faces as well as new ones in this beloved cast. She would like to thank Brian Fontenot for the opportunity to play such an iconic role (especially in its 50 year anniversary), Maryann Kyle for everything she does, her friends and family for all the support, the cast for being so wonderful, and most of all God for this and all opportunities to continue to able to do what she loves.
