Vee Simms 


Vee Sims is a New Orleans native born June 8,1973. A high school graduate from Picayune High School in 1991. College graduate from Walden University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. A mother of three beautiful girls Joy, Janae, and Jamyla. I started out singing in the church choir at the tender age of 5 and have continued to sing solos my home Little Zion Baptist church of New Orleans La. Due to the damage of hurricane Katrina I relocated to Birmingham Al where I joined Olivet Monumental Baptist Church where I continued to sing solos and background in the choir for nearly 10 years. I have sang for countless wedding ceremonies, comedy shows, parties. I had the opportunity to sing in the stage play “Church Mess” in Birmingham Al and Miami Florida. I am a Financial Aid Counselor at Northshore Technical Community College for 3 years. I also taught a line dance class in Picayune Ms called Vee Vee’s Line dance class which I started in October 2017. I so graciously had the opportunity to play the role of one of the church ladies in the stage play “The Color Purple” in the Cutting Edge Theatre and sang in tribute shows and music shows such as Aretha Franklin tribute show and the Vintage Vogue show.
