Aaron "Black Magic" Turnipseed is excited to return to Cutting Edge Theater as Music Director. Native of Baton Rouge, Aaron graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University earning his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Music Performance and Visual Arts. As a musician, he has been a featured performer for the Alcorn State, Bill Evans, and New Orleans Jazz Festivals. Aaron was appointed Musical Director for the following: Sunset Blvd, Chicago, Grease, Mary Poppins, Beauty and The Beast, 13, A my name is Alice, Rock of Ages, and the award winning musical The Color Purple. As an actor, he earned the leading roles in South Pacific, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, and A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Aaron serves as the Director of Bands at Hammond High Magnet School.
