Meet the Actors
A native of Mississippi, Melandie is thrilled to join the Color Purple cast as a member of the ensemble. Working in post-secondary education, she holds degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and Louisiana Tech University. Her love for singing, music, and musical theatre was cultivated early on in church, high school, and later on in college where she participated in various facets of the performing arts to include choir, band, theatre and dance. She is truly grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to being a part of the Cutting Edge experience
