Rick & Sarah Malasovich have both always made music a huge part of their lives. Rick started his first band at age 15, hitchhiked to Woodstock, and never looked back. He has continued to perform, including leading the band The Castaways across the Gulf Coast for nearly 15 years. Rick has recently done a number of stage performances, most recently appearing here as The Bishop in Frozen! Sarah performed her first role as a duck in Charlotte’s Web at age 7. Since then, she has performed in over 25 regional productions and has musically directed nearly a dozen, many of them right here at Cutting Edge.

Music brought them together when Rick welcomed Sarah into The Castaways and into his heart many years ago, before the band retired. They continue to enjoy music together on stage as well as at church and special events. Sarah is also a dedicated music teacher, having taught private piano and vocal lessons for 15 years and now focusing on growing youth music programs in the Slidell faith community. They are both enormous supporters of theater arts and are always supportive audience members for all their young (and older) performing friends!
